My name is Shamim Khorsand, I am originally from Iran. I moved to the States in 1978. Between 2002 and 2014 I lived in the Netherlands where I practiced Chiropractic. I have been involved in real estate for the last 25 years. My journey began as an investor, buying, renovating, and selling homes in the 90’s. It was a hobby that I enjoyed next to my full-time occupation as a Chiropractor.

In 2017, I decided to focus full-time on real estate. As I began working with buyers and saw firsthand the positive effects of homeownership on people’s lives, I realized my new passion and purpose moving forward was to help people become homeowners.

Depending on an individuals specific circumstances and the area they are looking at, there are many public programs available to make home ownership more attainable. I offer monthly homeownership seminars at my office in Marina del Rey. The seminar goes over the steps necessary to become a homeowner from A-Z.

We decided to sell our condo in El Segundo, CA in Jan. 2021 and use the money to buy a house of equal or less value. We had no idea how to go about this process. Module 1: Home buyers Workbook

This module covers steps to get financing, choosing the type of property, a glimpse at the offer process and main components, inspections, disclosures and information on different types of loans.

Module 2: Contracts and disclosures

This module covers the components of the “The Offer” or Residential Purchase Agreement as well as many of the disclosures that you will encounter during the transaction. I will schedule a time with you one-on-one to cover this module once you have been pre-approved by a lender of your choice and have decided on what type of property you would like to purchase and the area you would like to be in.

Module 3: Inspections and Reports

This module covers the main inspections and reports in much more detail. This will also be a one-on-one session which we will schedule immediately after your offer has been accepted. This module will prepare you to understand the inspections and reports on your property as they come in during escrow.
